【1】いよいよ明後日となりました―ASF2023

「オールソフィアンのつどい（ASF）2023」が明後日と迫ってきました。5月28日（日）開催です。
ASFの開催形式としてすっかり定着した、四谷キャンパスおよびオンラインでのハイブリッド。遠隔地や海外居住のソフィアンでも、オンラインで講演会など十分楽しむことができます。また今回は、キャンパス内での酒類販売も復活します。かつての活気が戻ってきます。皆さまそれぞれの方法で、ぜひご参加ください。

【2】新年度の事業計画、予算などを承認－春季全国代議員会

鳥居会長が事業報告

ソフィア会は2023年春季全国代議員会を5月20日（土）14：00から、学内6号館101教室において対面で開催しました。冒頭の鳥居正男ソフィア会会長の開会挨拶に続き、来賓として5月1日に就任されたばかりのサリ・アガスティン新理事長にもお越しいただき、大学の現状を含めてご挨拶をいただきました。
審議事項では、2022年度事業報告・決算報告および監査報告、2023年度事業計画および予算案などについて会長、財務委員長、監事が報告、すべて拍手によって承認されました。また今回は役員改選期にあたることから、代議員および正副会長、監事についても役員選考委員長が提案し、承認されました。
代議員会後は2号館5階学生食堂において、久しぶりに以前のような形で懇親会を行いました。

【3】講演会「ストラディヴァリウスの秘密」を開催―7/19

ソフィア会は7月19日（水）18時～19時半まで、講演会「世界を駆けるソフィアンたち」として学内2号館17階国際会議場で中澤創太さん（外独卒）による「ストラディヴァリウスの秘密」を開催します。その後、2号館5階教職員食堂で懇親会を行います。
現存する600挺のストラディヴァリウスのうち8挺を保管する世界有数の楽器商「日本ヴァイオリン」社長中澤壮太さんに、ストラディヴァリウスの魅力をひも解き、演奏、そして他のヴァイオリンとの音の弾き比べもしていただきます。今回は、生の音を体感していただくためにリアルでの開催のみとなります。

【E-1】ASF 2023 is Day After Tomorrow

All Sophians' Festival (ASF) 2023 will be held in a couple of days, on Sunday, May 28th.
The hybrid format of in-person events on the Yotsuya campus and online events has become well-established for ASF. Sophians living in remote areas and overseas will be able to fully enjoy the lectures and some other events online. As well, the sale of liquor will return to campus again this year. The event's former energy will rebound. We hope everyone will join us in the format best fitting your circumstances.

【E-2】The 2023 Academic Year Business Plan and Budget among Items Approved at the Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA

The 2023 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA will be held in person at 14:00 on Saturday, May 20th in classroom 101 in Building 6 on the Yotsuya Campus.
The 2023 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA was held in person at 14:00 on Saturday, May 20th in classroom 101 in Building 6 on the Yotsuya Campus. Following the opening remarks by SUAA President Masao Torii at the beginning of the Conference, new Sophia School Corporation Chancellor Sali Augustine, who just assumed office on May 1st, included the current status of the University in the speech he came to give as the guest of honor.
For items on the agenda brought up for discussion, President Torii, the Finance Committee Chairman, and an Auditor presented the 2022 Academic Year Business Report, Financial Statement and Audit Report and the 2023 Academic Year Business Plan and Budget all of which were approved by applause. Since this is the time to elect new SUAA Board members, the Director's Selection Committee Chairman proposed the election of representatives, vice presidents, and auditors, which was also approved.
Following the Conference, for the first time in a while a get-together was held as in the past at the Student Cafeteria on the 5th floor of Building 2.

【E-3】Lecture: Stradivarius Secrets Held July 19

As part of the "Sophians Around the Globe" lecture series Sota Nakazawa (2009, Faculty of Foreign Studies, Department of German Studies) will present a lecture entitled Stradivarius Secrets on Wednesday, July 19th from 18:00 to 19:30 in the International Conference Room on the 17th floor of Building 2 on the Yotsuya Campus. A get-together will follow in the Faculty Cafeteria on the 5th floor of Building 2.
Sota Nakazawa, President of Nippon Violin, one of the world's leading instrument dealers, which houses eight of the 600 existing Stradivarius violins, will unravel the allure of Stradivarius violins, play one, and compare its sound in with another violin. So that participants can experience the sound live, this event will be held only in person.
