【1】2017年度学部入学式および2016年度 学部学位授与式を挙行
　　 2017-18 Academic Year Entrance Ceremony for Undergraduate Faculties
　　 and 2016-17 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate
　　 Faculties Held

上智大学は4月1日（土）、東京・有楽町の東京国際フォーラムで学部入学式
行い、新入生2,828人を迎え入れました。
またこれに先立ち、3月27日（月）には同じく東京国際フォーラムで2016年度学
部学位授与式および大学院学位授与式・助産学専攻科修了式を行いました。
これにより、ソフィア会に新たに3,000名を超える新会員が入会しました。

On Saturday, April 1st, 2,828 new students were welcomed into Sophia
University at the 2017-18 Academic Year Entrance Ceremony held at the
Tokyo International Forum in Yurakucho, Tokyo.
Additionally, prior to that, the Sophia University 2016-17 Academic Year
Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Faculties and Graduation Ceremony
for Graduate Programs and Course of Midwifery were held on Monday, March
27, 2017, also at the Tokyo International Forum. With this, 3000 new
members were inducted into the Sophia University Alumni Association
(SUAA).

【2】新しいソフィアンズクラブがオープン
　　 The New Sophians Club Is Finally Open!

4月1日、ソフィアタワー（6号館）の6階に新しいソフィアンズクラブがオープン
しました。
すでにお伝えしているように、このソフィアンズクラブはだれでも無料で利用
できるサロンとテラス、そして3つの会議室、事務局で構成され、ソフィア会の
新たな活動拠点となります。
またソフィア会は4月7日（金）、このソフィアンズクラブにおいて大学関係者や
ソフィア会の各登録団体の代表者などを招いてお披露目会を開催しました。

On April 1st, the new Sophians Club on the sixth floor of Sophia Tower,
Building No. 6, opened. As previously mentioned, the Sophians Club salon
and terrace are open to everyone free of charge. Also comprising three
meeting rooms and the Secretariat it will become the new SUAA activity
base.
In addition, SUAA is inviting University officials and representatives
from various SUAA organizations, among others, to a presentation event
on Friday, April 7th at the Sophians Club.

【3】今年のソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会は9月8日開催です
　　 2017 Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament Held September 8th

ソフィア会は公式行事として22回目を迎えるソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会を
9月8日(金)、箱根カントリー倶楽部（箱根・仙石原）で行います。
募集人員は120名で先着順に受け付けますのでお早めにお申し込みください。

The 22nd Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament, an official SUAA event, will be
held on Friday, September 8th at the Hakone Country Club in Sengokuhara,
Hakone. The first 120 golfers to apply will compete, so please apply as
soon as possible.

【4】ブルゴーニュワインの特別講演会に260名が参加－3/23
　　 260 Attend Burgundy Wine Lecture Held March 23rd

3月23日（木）、ソフィア会が上智大学と共催した特別講演会「世界を駆ける
ソフィアンたち－ブルゴーニュワインにとりつかれて」（図書館9階911会議室
など）に約260名が参加。
ブルゴーニュの名門ワイン農家の当主、ビーズ千砂さん（1990外仏）の講演に
聞き入りました。

On Thursday, March 23rd, approximately 260 participated the SUAA and
Sophia University co-hosted lecture entitled "Hooked on Burgundy Wine -
Sophians Around the Globe" held in Meeting Room 911 on 9th floor of the
Library on the Yotsuya Campus. They attentively listened to a
presentation by Chisa Bize (1990, Faculty of Foreign Studies, French
Department) who is the main owner of a prestigious Burgundy domaine.
