【1】秋季全国代議員会を10月21日（土）に開催
　　 Autumn Conference of National Representatives of SUAA Held
　　 Saturday, October 21st

新体制と主な活動計画を報告するほか、ソフィア会会則の一部改定などを審議、
第9回地域ソフィア会全国大会2017名古屋大会、第3回アジアソフィア会2017
カンボジア大会などについても報告します。
会議終了後、2号館5階学生食堂において懇親会を行います。

In addition to reports on the new system and plans for major activities,
the agenda includes discussion of partial revisions to SUAA regulations
and reports that will include the 9th Regional Sophia University Alumni
Association (SUAA) National Conference, the 2017 Nagoya Conference, and
the 3rd Asian SUAA Conference, the Cambodian Conference. Following the
Conference, a social get-together will be held in the Student Cafeteria
on the 5th floor of Building 2.

【2】突然の雷雨に見舞われた今年のソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会
　　 Sudden Thunderstorm Struck the 2017 Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament

ソフィア会は9月8日(金)、公式行事として第22回ソフィアンズカップゴルフ
大会を箱根カントリー倶楽部（神奈川県箱根町）で開催しました。
当日は152名のソフィアンが参加しましたが、突然の雷雨で6組24名のプレーヤー
が競技途中で引き揚げざるを得なくなる状況。
全員がホールアウトできませんでしたが、前半のスコアで順位をつけ表彰を行い
ました。

The 22nd Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament, an official SUAA event, was held
on Friday, September 8th at the Hakone Country Club in Hakone, Kanagawa.
Although 152 golfers gathered to play, the sudden thunderstorm forced 24
players in 6 foursomes to withdraw. Since all players were unable to
complete their rounds, awards were presented on the basis of first half
score rankings.

【3】過去最大規模で「2017名古屋大会」を開催
　　 The 2017 Nagoya Conference Drew Record-breaking Numbers

ソフィア会は第9回地域ソフィア会全国大会「2017名古屋大会」を9月23日(土)、
24日(日)の両日、名古屋ソフィア会をホスト・ソフィア会として名古屋駅前の
「ウインクあいち」などで開催しました。
同大会には海外ソフィア会も含め過去最大となる250名以上のソフィアンとその
ご家族が参加。
各ソフィア会が抱える課題やソフィア会の将来について話し合い、地域を超えて
交流を深めました。また、ソフィア会副会長で立教大学名誉教授などを務める
鳥飼玖美子氏(1969外西)が「脱グローバル時代の異文化コミュニケーション」を
テーマに記念講演を行いました。

The 9th Regional SUAA National Conference, the 2017 Nagoya Conference,
hosted by the Nagoya SUAA branch, was held over two days, Saturday,
September 23rd and Sunday, the 24th, at Winc Aichi, located in front of
Nagoya Station.
Over 250 Sophians and family members, including those from overseas,
participated in the conference. Discussing problems faced by each SUAA
branch and the future of SUAA deepened exchange across regions.
In addition, Kumiko Torikai (1969 Faculty of Foreign Studies, Department
of Hispanic Studies) Professor Emeritus at Rikkyo University and SUAA
Vice President, presented a commemorative speech on the theme of 'Cross-
cultural Communication in the Era of Globalization'.

【4】経済人倶楽部がトークイベント「Sophia Business Forum」をスタート
　　 Sophia Business Club Starts Sophia Business Forum Talk Event

ソフィア経済人倶楽部は11月17日（金）19:00から、学内ソフィアンズクラブで
トークイベント「Sophia Business Forum（SBF）」を行います。
スピーカーはGoogleのエヴァンジェリストである金谷武明さん（1995法法）で、
テーマは若手ソフィアンに向けた「これからのキャリア形成」。

経済人倶楽部はこのSBFを、20～40代のソフィアンのためのビジネス・ネット
ワーク作りのため今後継続して開催していく考えです。

On Friday November 17th at 19:00 the Sophia Business Club (SBC) will
hold its first Sophia Business Forum (SBF) talk event in the Sophians
Club. The speaker will be Google Evangelist Takeaki Kanaya (1995,
Faculty of Law, Department of Law), and his presentation on the theme of
Future Career Development targets young Sophians. Please register from
the following link.
SBC plans to continue SBF to build a business network for Sophians in
their 20s through 40s.
