【1】―恩師に学ぶ 「ドイル先生60年を振り返る」を開催
Learning from a Former Professor: Professor Doyle Looks Back over Sixty Years

上智大学名誉教授で元ソフィア会副会長のドナル・ドイル先生は、日本で教鞭をとられて60年を迎えられました。
そこで上智大学とソフィア会は共催で、教員生活60年について先生に語っていただく講演会－恩師に学ぶ「ドイル先 生60年を振り返る」を4月26日（金）18:00から、学内2号館17階1702会議室で開催します。講演会に引き続き、ドイル 先生を囲む懇親会も行います。ぜひ、ご参加ください。

A celebratory event will be held to honor Donal Doyle, Sophia University professor emeritus and former Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) vice-president, for his work in Japan which spans sixty years.
Sophia University and SUAA will co-host a lecture entitled Professor Doyle Looks Back over Sixty Years in which he will talk about his 60-year teaching career. The event will be held at 18:00 on Friday, April 26th, in Conference Room 1702 on the 17th floor of Building 2 on the Yotsuya Campus. A social gathering with Professor Doyle will be held following the lecture. Please join us.

【2】川平慈英さんの講演会に200名が参加
Jay Kabira Special Talk Show Attended by 200

2月20日（水）18：30から学内2号館17階1702会議室で、舞台、映画、ドラマのほかサッカーナビゲータとしても活躍し ている川平慈英さん（1987比文）のトークショー「寛容とリスペクト」を開催しました。
会場が約200名の参加者で埋まる中、川平さんは「昨今目や耳にする悲しい出来事はこの寛容とリスペクトという2つ の気持ちが欠けているからではないのか」という問いかけでトークショーをスタート。自らの生い立ちからメディアで活 躍するまでを、約1時間かけて語りました。

Jay Kabira (1987, Faculty of Comparative Culture [now, Faculty of International Liberal Studies]), who is active not only as an actor appearing in theater, film and drama productions but also as a soccer navigator, held a talk show entitled Tolerance and Respect at 18:30 on Wednesday, February 20th in Conference Room 1702 on the 17th floor of Building 2 on the Yotsuya Campus.
Approximately 200 participants packed into the venue and listened as Kabira launched his talk show with the question, "Might not the sad events we have recently seen and heard about be occurring due to a lack of tolerance and respect?" Mr. Kabira spoke about his personal upbringing and his active role in the media for about one hour.

【3】オリパラ委員会が情報交換会を開催－3/16
Oly/Para Committee to Hold an Information Exchange Meeting on March 16th

オリンピック・パラリンピック支援特別委員会（オリパラ委員会）は3月16日（土）17:00から、学内ソフィアンズクラブで 情報交換会を開催します。
今年は日本でラグビーワールドカップが、そして来年は2020東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会が開催されま す。オリパラ委員会はこれまで大会情報・ボランティア情報を提供、また講演会・体験会などを行ってきましたが、当 日は今後の企画・活動について情報交換を行います。

The SUAA Olympics/Paralympics Ad Hoc Committee (Oly/Para Committee) will hold an information exchange meeting at 17:00 on Saturday, March 16th in the Sophians Club on the Yotsuya Campus. The Rugby World Cup will be held in Japan this year, and next year the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held here in Japan.
The Oly/Para Committee has previously provided information on tournaments and volunteering, and has also held lectures and experience events. Information on future plans and activities will be shared at this event.
