【1】支援金1,000万円を寄付。学生支援募金も開始

新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大は私たちの社会生活に大きな影響をもたらしています。上智大学でも家庭の経済状況の変化による収入減や学生アルバイトの打ち切りにより生活費が得られないなど、深刻な状況にある学生がいます。
そこでソフィア会は上智大学の学生支援に協力する形で、(1)学生に対する緊急支援金として、本年度のソフィア会予算の中から1,000万円を上智大学に寄付します。この寄付金は、現在上智大学が緊急に実施する留学生を含む「アルバイト収入減額による生活支援金（給付金額10万円／人」の支給の一部に充当されます。またソフィア会として「ソフィア会 新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大に伴う学生支援募金」を開始、今後継続して発生が見込まれる家計の急変、生活費を得ることの困難な学生の経済的支援を行います。
さらに、今後も状況に合わせ新たな支援策を講じていく考えです。

The spreading COVID-19 outbreak is having a major impact on our social life. Some Sophia University students have also been facing serious conditions, such as a decrease in their family's financial circumstances or the in ability to earn living expenses because their part-time jobs have been terminated.
Therefore, in a form that enables Sophia University Student Support, SUAA will contribute ten million yen from the 2020 fiscal year SUAA budget as emergency relief funds for students. These resources will be used to cover a portion of the Livelihood Support for Students with Reduced Part-time Job Incomes (100,000 yen per individual) which Sophia University is now hastening to implement and for which international students also qualify.
Additionally, SUAA is also launching the SUAA Fund-Raising Campaign for Student Support in the Wake of the COVID-19 Outbreak, and will provide financial support to students whose families are suddenly struggling economically and who have difficulty in obtaining living expenses, both of which are expected to continue into the future.Moreover, we will continue to carry out new response measures as the situation develops.

【2】春季全国代議員会はメール、郵送などで
　 2020 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA Conducted by Electronic and Postal Service Mail

新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大は、ソフィア会活動にも大きな影響を及ぼしています。そのため、すでにご案内しているように今年度の春季全国代議員会も四谷キャンパスでの開催はできず、ソフィア会の予算編成方針（会費値上げに伴うポートフォリオに基づく新規事業計画など）と緊急案件のみを議題として、電磁的方法あるいは郵送により審議を行います。
5月15日(金)には代議員会審議資料を郵送し、質問を受付けながら電磁的方法または回答の郵送を待って議決を行います。5月29日(金）には審議結果を確定する予定です。

The spreading COVID-19 outbreak is having a major impact on SUAA activities. Consequently, as has already announced, we are also unable to hold the 2020 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA on the Yotsuya Campus. Only the SUAA budget policy (including a new business plan based on the portfolio after the increased membership fee) and urgent matters will be on the agenda which will be deliberated via electronic and postal service mail.
Agenda documents for the 2020 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA will be mailed out on Friday, May 15th, and those items will be voted on by electronic and postal service mail replies while questions are being accepted. The results of such deliberations are expected to be settled on Friday, May 29.

【3】ASFの新たな試み「Net de ASF 2020」を実施
　 New ASF Endeavor "Net de ASF 2020"

5月の通常開催は中止となってしまった「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」ですが、実行委員会はそれでも何かできないかと考え、インターネットを利用した「Net de ASF 2020」を開催することとしました。四谷で会うことはできませんが、その代わり世界中のソフィアンをインターネット上で繋ぐ良い機会になるはずです。
5月31日（日）の10時00分?17時30分の間、インターネット上のYouTubeやFacebookなどを通じ、世界のソフィアンが3つの時間軸に分けて参加できるイベントや、今年の金祝、ルビー祝、銀祝、銅祝の対象者によるパネルディスカッションなどを行います。今後の情報に期待してください。

Concerning the All Sophians' Festival (ASF), the traditional form in May which was cancelled, the ASF Executive Committee has contemplated the creation of an alternative event and decided to hold "Net de ASF 2020" online. Although this event still won't allow us to get together in Yotsuya, it should offer us a good opportunity to connect online with Sophians around the world.
Between 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31st, this event will offer three time frames for Sophians around the globe to participate via YouTube and Facebook among other online sites. A panel discussion particularly for this year's Gold, Ruby, Silver and Bronze Anniversary celebrants will also be held. We will keep you updated as further information becomes available.
