【1】戸川会長が4つの重点施策を提言――年頭挨拶で
Four President Togawa Recommended Priority Measures - at the beginning of the year

新年を迎え、ソフィア会の戸川宏一会長は「上智大学とソフィア会の更なる発展に向けて」と題する年頭所感をソフィ ア会Webサイトに掲載。ここで、特に今年取り組むべき4つの重点施策を提言しました。
(1)将来に向けてソフィア会のあるべき姿、将来像を見定める、(2)世界に広がるソフィアンのネットワーク化の更なる 広がりとソフィアンの強固な輪を作る、(3)母校上智大学への貢献として学生支援・留学生支援に重点を置く、(4)ソフィ ア会の各委員会活動をより参加しやすいよう更に充実させる、の4つです。
会長は最後に「新たな年を迎えて、上智の教育理念である"他者のために、他者と共に生きる"を改めて思い起こし、 母校と一体となってソフィア会の運営に努力したい」と結んでいます。

In celebration of the New Year, Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) President Koichi Togawa posted his New Year's reflections entitled Towards Further Sophia University and SUAA Development on the SUAA web site. Here, we propose four measures that should particularly be prioritized this year.
1) To ascertain what form SUAA should take in the future and what its future image should be, 2) to expand the Sophian Network around the globe and create strong Sophian links, 3) to support and contribute to services for students and international students at our alma mater Sophia University, and 4) to further enhance respective SUAA committee activities so that everyone can participate more easily.
In closing, President Togawa said, "As we celebrate the New Year, and reflecting on Sophia's educational philosophy of 'Men and Women for Others, with Others', I would like SUAA operations to be in unison with our alma mater."

【2】ASC2018開催報告－12/14
ASC 2018 Holding Report - 12/14

ソフィア会は昨年の12月14日（金）、学内のアクティブコモンズ（旧9号館地下カフェ）で「オールソフィアンのクリスマ ス（ASC）2018」を開催しましたが、実行委員長を務めた小嶋健人さん（1996文哲）が今回の内容をWebに報告。
「ASCが祈りのとき（ソフィアンの祈り）とパーティの2部構成となって3年目となる今年は、上智管弦楽部の弦楽四重 奏の調べで始まり...」との書き出しで今回のASCを詳細に紹介しています。

Last year on Friday, December 14th SUAA held All Sophia's Christmas (ASC) 2018 at the Active Commons on the Yotsuya Campus (formerly the cafeteria on the basement level of Building 9) and Kento Kojima (Faculty of Humanities, Department of Philosophy, 1996) who served as executive chairman report on the most recent event content on the Web begins as follows:
"This is the third year for ASC to be comprised of two parts, praying the Sophia prayer and the party, which began with a Sophia Orchestra String Quartet melody..."

【3】「上智出身の外交官と会おう」を開催しました
Meet Sophia Alumni Diplomats Event Held

10月30日、ソフィア会が後援する「上智出身の外交官と会おう」が学生65名と本年度の国家総合職内定者3名の参 加により開催されました。第1部はコーディネーター・藤崎一郎客員教授（元駐米大使）と本学出身の4名の外務省幹 部職員によるパネル対談。第2部は「現役外交官との情報交換・交流会」の2部構成で、参加学生との親身かつ熱心 なやりとりが展開されました。この企画は本年度からソフィア会が後援を始めたものです。

On October 30th, 65 students and three senior students who have passed the National Public Service Exam during this school year got together at the SUAA sponsored Meet Sophia Alumni Diplomats event. In the first session, Professor Ichiro Fujisaki (former Ambassador to the US) served as coordinator for the panel discussion of four foreign ministry officials from Sophia University. A friendly and enthusiastic exchange with participating students developed with the diplomats during the second session which consisted of an information exchange and social gathering. SUAA initiated this project during the current academic year.
