【1】世界で1万人が視聴したバーチャルASF2021

ソフィア会は5月30日（日）、ソフィア会公式行事として「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」を開催しました。
コロナウイルス感染予防の観点から今年も昨年に続きオンラインでのバーチャル開催となりましたが、3チャンネルで3つのプログラムをYouTubeやFacebookで同時配信するなど、内容は大幅に進化。国内はもとより、海外からも多くのソフィアンが参加し、視聴者は延べ1万人を超えました。またこの3チャンネルと並行して学部・学科同窓会や各種ソフィア会などが独自のオンライン・イベントを開催するなど、あたかも四谷キャンパスで実際にASFが繰り広げられたような1日となりました。

On Sunday, May 30th, Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) held the All Sophians' Festival (ASF), an official SUAA event. From the standpoint of minimizing the risk of COVID-19 infection, this year's ASF was held virtually online as it was last year; however the content has significantly evolved, with three programs broadcast concurrently on three YouTube and Facebook channels. In addition to programming on these three channels, departmental alumni associations and various other SUAA alumni groups held their own online events, making the day feel as if ASF might actually have been taking place on the Yotsuya Campus.

【2】ミラノ在住の写真家、仁木岳彦氏のオンライントークショーを開催
Online Talk Show Presented by Takehiko Niki, a Photographer Living in Milan

ソフィア会は上智大学と共催で、7月19日（月）18:00よりミラノ在住の写真家、仁木岳彦さん（1994文新）によるオンライントークショー「内なる声を聴き"撮る"」を開催します。仁木さんはジョルジオ・アルマーニ、ケイト・モスなどのポートレートを手掛けるなど、さまざまな分野の写真を世界各国のメディアに寄稿中。拓殖大学の客員教授も務めました。
当日は司会者とのトークショー形式で、ミラノに住む理由、写真の仕事の魅力、「ちょい不良オヤジ（パンツェッタ・ジローラモ 氏）」の取材を通じて感じたことなどを幅広くお話しいただきます。

SUAA and Sophia University will co-host a talk show entitled Listening to Your Inner Voice When Photographing on Monday, July 19th at 18:00 presented by Takehiko Niki (1994 Faculty of Humanities, Department of Journalism), a photographer living in Milan. He has taken portraits of Giorgio Armani, Kate Moss, among others, and has contributed various types of photographs to media around the globe. He has also been a visiting professor at Takushoku University.
In the form of a talk show with a moderator, Mr. Niki will share his reasons for living in Milan, the appeal of working in photography, and how he felt while interviewing "the archetype of the choi waru oyaji" [provocative middle-aged dude], Girolamo Panzetta.

【3】オンライン講演会「日本の英語を考える」を開催 ー6/25
Online Lecture: Contemplating English in Japan Held June 25

上智大学と上智大学ソフィア会（オリンピック・パラリンピック支援特別委員会）は6月25日（金）19：15から20：55まで（100分）、Zoomによるオンライン講演会「日本の英語を考える～東京オリンピック・パラリンピック準備過程で得られた知見～」を開催します。
東京オリンピック・パラリンピックに向けて外国人向けのWebサイト、 標識・看板などには首をかしげたくなるような英語があふれています。そこで、上智大学フランス語学科の卒業生である鶴田千佳子教授に、東京2020で浮き彫りになった日本人の英語発信力についてお話をうかがいます。

On Friday, June 25th from 19:15 to 20:55 (100 minutes), Sophia University and the SUAA Olympics/Paralympics Ad Hoc Committee (Oly/Para Committee) will hold an online Zoom lecture entitled, Contemplating English in Japan: Insights Gained during the Process of Preparing for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
Perplexing English is found on websites and signage prepared for foreigners as we head into the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Professor Emeritus and Tokyo Woman's Christian University Professor Chikako Tsuruta (1976, Faculty of Foreign Studies, Department of French Studies) will discuss the Japanese people's English communication skills that Tokyo 2020 has exposed.
