【1】ソフィア会の最高議決機関－全国代議員会にご出席ください

Representatives of SUAA
ソフィア会は10月20日（土）14:30から、四谷キャンパス6号館101教室で
2018年秋季全国代議員会を開催します。
代議員会では、新規代議員や休会中の登録団体の登録取り消しなどを審議するほか、
第10回地域ソフィア会全国大会「2018香川大会」、第4回アジアソフィア会「2019
ジャカルタ大会」などの概要を報告します。
また、「学部同窓会から初の上智大学発ベンチャーへ　―　多言語情報提供システ
ムによる異文化共生社会への貢献」のタイトルで、理工学部情報工学科の高岡詠子
教授の講演も行います。議事終了後は2号館5階の学生食堂において懇親会を行います。

Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) will hold the 2018 Autumn
Conference of National Representatives of SUAA on Saturday, October 20th,
at 14:30 in classroom 101 in Building 6 on the Yotsuya Campus.
During the Conference, in addition to approving new representative
assembly members and deliberating the revocation of the registration of inactive
organizations, summarized reports will include the 10th Regional SUAA National
Conference, the 2018 Kagawa Conference; and the 4th Asian SUAA Conference,
the 2019 Jakarta Conference.
Additionally, Sophia University Faculty of Science and Technology, Department of
Information and Communication Sciences Professor Eiko Takaoka will present
a lecture entitled 'From an Undergraduate Faculty Alumni Association Towards
the First Sophia University Venture: Contributing to a Cross-cultural Symbiotic
Society with a Multilingual Information System'.
Following the Conference, a social get-together will be held at 17: 00 in the Student
Cafeteria on the 5th floor of Building 2.

【2】"台風にも負けず"の熱気に包まれた2018香川大会
"A Typhoon Won't Get the Better of Us" Enthusiasm Prevails at the
2018 Kagawa Conference

今年の地域ソフィア会全国大会「2018香川大会」は、超大型の台風24号が迫る
中で開催。しかし、結果的にはソフィア会の底力を示すような熱気に包まれた
大会となりました。
直前になって30日（日）に予定されていたエクスカーションは中止となり、
交通手段を心配して参加を見送る人も出ましたが、9月29日（土）の情報交換会
や大会はすべて予定通り進行。上智学院の佐久間勤理事長、上智大学の曄道佳明
学長も来賓として来場、また昨年ラモン・マグサイサイ賞を受賞された石澤良昭
元学長の講演も熱い関心の中で行われ、参加者からは「これまでにない素晴らし
い大会だった」との声も数多く聞かれました。

Trami, the powerful 24th typhoon on the year, was on the approach
during this year's SUAA National Conference, the 2018 Kagawa Conference.
Be that what it may, the Conference was enveloped by enthusiastically
demonstrated SUAA strength.
Although excursions scheduled for Sunday the 30 were cancelled pretty much
at the last minute and transportation worries caused some alumni to pass on articipating,
the Information Exchange on Saturday September 29th and the entire Conference
went on as planned. Sophia School Corporation Chancellor Tsutomu Sakuma and
Sophia University President Yoshiaki Terumichi attended as guests,
and the commemorative speech presented by Former Sophia University President
Yoshiaki Ishizawa who won the Ramon Magsaysay Prize last year was received
with extreme interest.
Many participants commented that this was the best convention they had ever attended.

【3】ASC2018のパフォーマーを募集しています
ASC 2018 Performers Sought

今年の「オールソフィアンのクリスマス（ASC2018）」は12月14日（金）。
例年通り、第2部のパーティに向け、パフォーマンスを披露していただける卒業生
のパフォーマー（団体または個人）を募集しています。音楽演奏、ダンス、演芸な
ど、暖かな雰囲気のパーティにふさわしいプログラムでASCをもりあげましょう。

This year's All Sophians' Christmas (ASC 2018) will be held on Friday,
December 14th. As in the past, we are recruiting alumni (groups or individuals)
to perform during the party.
Please help us put together an entertainment program with music,
dance and drama performances to create a warm ASC party atmosphere.
