【1】地域ソフィア会全国大会「香川大会」は9月29、30日です
　　 The Regional SUAA National Conference, the Kagawa Conference, Held
　　 September 29th and 30th

第10回を迎える今年の地域ソフィア会全国大会「2018香川大会」が9月29日(土)、
30日(日)の両日、高松市の「かがわ国際会議場」などで開催されます。ホストは
香川ソフィア会で、コ・ホストには愛媛、高知、徳島と四国四県の各ソフィア会
が名を連ねています。
29日の情報交換会、パネルディスカッション、懇親会などに続き、翌30日には
こんぴらさん参詣、うどんうち体験、瀬戸内アートの島観光、ゴルフコンペなど
のエクスカーションが予定されています。四国では初めての全国大会。
みなさまもぜひご参加ください。

The 10th Regional Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) National
Conference, the 2018 Kagawa Conference, will be held over the weekend of
September 29th and 30th primarily at the Kagawa International Hall in
Takamatsu. The host is Kagawa SUAA, and the co-hosts are Ehime SUAA,
Kochi SUAA and Tokushima SUAA who represent the other prefectures on the
island of Shikoku.
Following the Information Exchange, panel discussion, social gathering
and the like on September 29th, plans for the 30th include an excursion
to Konpirasan, experiencing making udon, island sightseeing with a focus
on Setouchi art, and a golf competition. This will be the first National
Conference held on Shikoku. We hope you will join us.

【2】コムソフィア賞―道傳愛子さん受賞記念講演会を開催－7/12
　　 Aiko Doden Cumsophia Prize Acceptance Speech Held July 12th

第27回を迎える今年の「コムソフィア賞」はNHKチーフプロデューサーとして国際
報道の第一線で活躍している道傳愛子さん（1988外英）に授与することを決定。
授賞式と道傳さんによる受賞記念講演会を、7月12日（木）17:45から四谷
キャンパス2号館17階1702会議室で開催します。入場無料です。
マスコミ・ソフィア会は1991年から各界で活躍、実績を残す上智大学関係者を
毎年選考して表彰する「コムソフィア賞」を実施してきました。今年は同会の
創立30周記念事業としてその規模を拡大、上智大学、上智大学ソフィア会の
後援のもとに行います。

This year, the 27th Cumsophia Prize will be presented to Aiko Doden
(1988, Faculty of Foreign Studies, Department of English Studies) who as
a Chief Producer at NHK stands at the forefront of international
reporting. The award ceremony and Ms Doden's acceptance speech will be
held on Thursday, July 12th at 17:45 in Conference Room 1702 on the 17th
floor of Building 2 on the Yotsuya Campus. There is no admittance charge
for this event.
Since 1991, Cumsophia has annually presented the Cumsophia Prize to
publically recognize the achievements of Sophia University individuals
who are active in various fields. Sophia University and SUAA are
supporting the expanded scale of our 30th anniversary commemorative
project this year.

【3】鳥飼玖美子さんのASF2018記念講演会を振り返る
　　 In Review: Kumiko Torikai's ASF 2018 Commemorative Lecture

今年のASF学術講演会は、NHK「世界へ発信SNS英語術」講師の鳥飼玖美子さん
（ソフィア会副会長、立教大学名誉教授）をお迎えし、「異文化コミュニケー
ション」をテーマにお話いただきました。
当日は、卒業生ソフィアンのみならず、現役学生の参加を含む400名を超える
来場者で会場の6-307教室は満席。講演後も予定時間いっぱい活発な質疑応答が
行われました。

The academic lecture at ASF this year was presented by NHK SNS English
lecturer Kumiko Torikai (SUAA Vice President and Professor Emeritus at
Rikkyo University) who spoke on the theme of cross-cultural
communication.
On the day of ASF, not only Sophians, but current students as well, were
among the over 400 participants who squeezed into classroom 6-307.
Following the lecture, a lively question and answer session continued
until the allotted time ended.
