4th Asian SUAA Conference, the 2019 Jakarta Conference Held

第4回アジア・ソフィア会ジャカルタ大会が9月27日（金）～30日（月）の4日間、インドネシア、ジャカルタ市のホテル・ムリア セナヤンで開催（ホスト：ジャカルタ・ソフィア会）。佐久間勤上智学院理事長、曄道佳明上智大学学長など主要な大学関係者をはじめ、ジャカルタ、香港、バンコク、シンガポールの各ソフィア会から29名、日本からソフィアンとそのご家族、現役学生など41名の合計70名が参加しました。

Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) held the 4th Asian SUAA Conference over four days, from Friday, September 27th through Sunday, the 30th, at the Hotel Mulia Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jakarta SUAA hosted the event. A total of 70 people participated, including Sophia School Corporation Chancellor Tsutomu Sakuma and Sophia University President Yoshiaki Terumichi who were among the prominent University representatives in attendance. Twenty-nine participants represented Jakarta, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore SUAA branches, and 41 Sophians and family members and current students traveled from Japan.

【2】2020オリパラに向け、コカ・コーラ渡邉和史氏講演会－11/13
Preparations for the 2020 SUAA Olympics/Paralympics, Coca-Cola's Kazufumi Watanabe Lecture Held
November 13th

ソフィア会は上智大学と共催で、日本コカ・コーラのオリンピック＆エクスペリエンシャルマーケティング担当統括部長である渡邉和史さん（比較文化学部＝現・国際教養学部卒）の講演会「東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピックに向けて―コカ・コーラのスポーツビジネス」を11月13日（水）18：00から四谷キャンパスL号館9階921会議室で行います。
日本コカ・コーラはワールドワイドオリンピックパートナー・東京2020パラリンピック競技大会ゴールドパートナーで、渡邉さんは聖火リレーを統括しています。

SUAA and Sophia University will co-host a lecture entitled "Coca-Cola's Sports Business Preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics" presented by Kazufumi Watanabe (Faculty of Comparative Culture = current Faculty of Liberal Arts, 1997), the Director of Olympic Assets and Experiential Marketing at Coca-Cola Japan.
The event will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 18:00 in Meeting Room 921 on 9th floor of the Library on the Yotsuya Campus.
Coca-Cola Japan is a Worldwide Olympic Partner and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Gold Partner, and Mr. Watanabe is currently serving as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay Director.

【3】井上ひさしスペシャル対談－11/27
Hisashi Inoue Special Discussion Held November 27th

ソフィア会は井上ひさし研究会および日本学術振興会と共催で、スペシャル対談「井上ひさしと過した時間」を11月27日（水）18:00から四谷キャンパス2号館17階1702会議室で開催します。対談者は故井上ひさし夫人で料理教師の井上ユリ氏と作家で東京工業大学名誉教授のロジャー・パルバース氏。
直木賞作家の井上ひさしさんは、上智大学外国語学部フランス語学科卒業。井上ユリさんと40年に渡る親交があり作品の英訳も手掛ける作家ロジャー・パルバースさんに対談して頂き、井上ひさしさんの作品と人物の魅力に迫ります。

SUAA, the Hisashi Inoue Seminar and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science will co-host a special discussion entitled "Time Spent with Hisashi Inoue" on Wednesday, November 27 at 18:00 in Meeting Room 1702 on 17th floor of Building 2 on the Yotsuya Campus. Cooking instructor Yuri Inoue, Hisashi Inoue's widow, and author and professor Emeritus Professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology Roger Pulvers will be the speakers.
Naoki Prize-winning author Hisashi Inoue graduated from the Sophia University Faculty of Foreign Studies with a BA in French. Yuri Inoue and Roger Pulvers a friend of 40 years who translated some of Inoue's works into English, will discuss the author's work and personal charm.

Talk With Sophian Government Officials on October 30th

上智大学国際関係研究所は「ソフィアン国家公務員と話そう－日本、世界で活躍する先輩たち－」を10月30日（水）18:30から四谷キャンパス6号館6階のソフィアンズクラブ会議室で行います（ソフィア会後援）。本学学生および外交官・国家公務員へのチャレンジに関心ある卒業生が対象です。

The Sophia Institute of International Relations, with SUAA support, will hold an event entitled "Talk with Sophian Government Officials: Upper Classmen Active in Japan and Around the Globe" on Wednesday, October 30th at 18:30 in the Sophians Club Conference Room on the 6th floor of Building 6 on the Yotsuya Campus. This event is primarily for Sophia University graduate students and alumni who are interested in the challenge of taking the exam to become a diplomat or government official.
