【1】ソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会は9月6日開催です
　　 Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament Held September 6th

今年第23回目を迎えるソフィア会の公式行事「ソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会」
の開催日が9月6日（木）と決まりました。
そして、コースは昨年と同じ箱根・仙石原の箱根カントリー倶楽部。
昨年のソフィアンズカップは豪雨で途中中止を余儀なくされ、順位もハーフでの
暫定順位。そこで、同じコースで再度開催することになったものです。
昨年参加された方はぜひともリベンジを。もちろん、新たな参加者も歓迎です。

The 23rd Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament, an official SUAA event, will be
held on Thursday, September 6th. It will be held on the same course as
last year, at the Hakone Country Club in Sengokuhara, Hakone.
Since a sudden storm at Sophians' Cup last year forced the suspension of
play, awards were presented on the basis of first half score rankings.
Thus, the same course will be played again this year. This will be a
chance for last year's golfers to get revenge. Naturally, new
participants are most welcome.

【2】サンデー毎日が上下2回にわたって「上智大学ソフィア会」を掲載

　　 Alumni Association

週刊誌のサンデー毎日はシリーズ「大学同窓会の研究」において、「上智大学
ソフィア会」を3月18日号（3月6日発売）および3月25日号（3月13日発売）の2回
にわたって掲載しました。
記事は、同シリーズを執筆しているジャーナリスト・田中幾太郎氏の要望に
ソフィア会が対応する形で作成されたもの。タイトルに「他者のために、他者と
ともに」、「ピタウ元学長の精神は永遠に－困っている人を助けよ」が大きく
使われるなど、他大学の同窓会に比べ、ソフィア会の活動の特長が浮き彫りに
された内容になっています。

A two-part article on Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA)
appeared in the Sunday Mainichi weekly news magazine's University Alumni
Society Research series in its March 18th and March 25th editions,
respectively released on March 6th and March 13th.
The article came about in response to a request from Ikutaro Tanaka, the
journalist who writes the series. In comparison with articles on other
university alumni associations, a great deal of content under headings
such as "For Others, With Others" and "Former President Pittau's
Everlasting Spirit - Helping Those in Need" highlights the merits of
SUAA activities.

【3】オリパラ委員会が「ベニューツアー＠江ノ島ヨット競技場」を実施
　　 Oly/Para Committee Conducted a Enoshima Yacht Venue Tour on
　　 February 25th

ソフィア会のオリパラ委員会は、2月25日に江ノ島ヨット会場ベニューツアーを
実施しました。
このツアーには、上智大学ヨット部のOBの2人が協力。ハーバー内を見学した
後は、参加者にヨット競技について、2020東京大会ボランティア募集要綱に
ついて、ボランティア業務の概要などについてなどの説明が行われました。

On Sunday, February 25th the SUAA Oly/Para Committee held a tour of the
Enoshima Yacht Harbor venue.
Two Sophia University Yacht Club alumni helped make arrangements for
this tour. After observing the harbor, things participants learned about
included the sailing competition, volunteer selection guidelines for the
2020 Tokyo Games, and an overview of volunteer duties.
