【1】「電磁的」に行われた春季全国代議員会で2案を承認

新型コロナウイルスによる非常事態で、今年の春季全国代議員会はメールや郵送による「電磁的及びはがき」（ソフィア会会則第16条 (議長と決議方法等)の第3項より）により行われ、審議事項の「ソフィア会の予算編成方針（会費値上げに伴うポートフォリオに基づく新規事業計画など）」、「新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響を受ける学生への支援について」の2案は、いずれも承認とするもの多数により可決されました。
一方、今回改選時期を迎えた現状の役員（会長、副会長、監事、常任委員、委員会委員、代議員）は、6月以降の新体制の準備が整わないことから、次の全国代議員会（臨時開催もしくは秋季代議員会）まで役員任期を延長することとしました。

Because the COVID-19 state of emergency was declared, the 2020 Spring Conference of National Representatives of Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) voting was completed "electronically and through the postal service" (SUAA Regulations, Article 16 [Chairman and Methods of Resolution], paragraph 3). Both the motion for the SUAA budget policy (including a new business plan based on the portfolio after the increased membership fee) and the motion for the Support for Students Affected by the COVID-19 Outbreak passed with majority approval.
On the other hand, since preparations for the new system for newly-elected SUAA Board members (President, Vice-Presidents, Auditors, Standing Committee members, and delegates) who were to have been elected in this Spring session, cannot be made until after June, the terms of the current officers will be extended through the next Conference of National Representatives of SUAA (either a Special Session or the Autumn Conference of National Representatives of SUAA).

【2】12,000人が見た「Net de ASF 2020」
"Net de ASF 2020" Involved 12,000

新型コロナウイルスによって、今年の「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」は5月開催をやむなく断念せざるを得なくなりました。しかしそれに代わり、実行委員会がオンライン会議を重ねて企画したのが「Net de ASF 2020」。動画共有サービス「YouTube」やソーシャル・ネットワーキング・サービス（SNS）「Facebook」で世界のソフィアンを結び、文字通りソフィア会のスローガン「つなげよう、拡げよう、深めよう、ソフィアンの絆」を実現しようとする試みでしたが、世界で延べ12,000人が見るという大ヒット企画となりました。
朝9時50分から休みなしで夕方の5時過ぎまでのプログラム。しかし、あっという間の1日でした。

Due to COVID-19, we had no choice but to abandon holding the 2020 All Sophians' Festival (ASF) in May. Alter natively, through a series of online meetings the Executive Committee organized "Net de ASF 2020". YouTube and Facebook connected Sophians around the world. The SUAA "Join, Widen, Deepen, Sophia Family" slogan literally became a global endeavor and an enormous hit, involving 12,000 people.
Although programs began at 9:50 in the morning and continued until after 5 in the evening with no breaks, the da y flew by.

【3】ソフィア会生活支援奨学金、第1回目の支給を実施
The First SUAA Livelihood Support for Students Scholarships Awarded

ソフィア会が力を入れる学生支援事業の柱の一つである「ソフィア会奨学金制度」のうち、記念すべき第1回目として2 020年4月入学者4名に「ソフィア会生活支援奨学金」を支給しました。主に、首都圏以外の高校出身者で自宅外から通学する学生を支援するものです。
また、2020年2月1日からソフィア会奨学金基金（2020年度内設置予定）への寄付（SOPHIA未来募金使途指定）を受付けていますので、ご協力をお願いします。

The noteworthy first SUAA Livelihood Support for Students Scholarships, part of the SUAA Scholarship Fund which is a pillar of SUAA's student support program, have been awarded to four students who joined the student body in April 2020. This scholarship primarily provides support to students who graduated from high schools outside the Tokyo metropolitan area and who do not commute from their family homes.
Fundraising (designated under the SOPHIA Fund for the Future) for the SUAA Scholarship Fund (established within 2020 fiscal year) was launched on February 1, 2020 and we hope you recognize that continued support for this endeavor is sincerely appreciated.

5月11日付けソフィア会Weｂサイトにて、戸川会長から「上智大学生に対するソフィア会としての緊急支援について（お願い）」と題して会員各位にSOPHIA未来募金を通じての支援を発信いたしましたところ、既に複数のソフィア会登録団体や会員個人から募金が寄せられております。心より感謝申し上げます。募金の進捗状況につきましては、次回のメールニュース以降でご報告いたす所存ですが、会員の皆様にはより一層のご支援を頂戴いたしたく重ねてお願い申し上げます。
