【1】ソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会を12月7日に開催します
Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament Held December 7th

ソフィア会は、第25回目を迎える「2020ソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会」を12月7日（月）、埼玉県入間市の狭山ゴルフ・ クラブで開催します。募集人数は120名で、プレー費は19,500円（参加費2,000円）。
当初は9月7日に開催する予定でしたが、新型コロナウイルス感染防止のため順延となったものです。しかし、今回も 懇親会・表彰式は実施せず、ゴルフプレーのみの開催とします。また、状況によっては中止の可能性があることもご 了承ください。

Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) will hold the 2020 Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament, now in its 25th year, on Monday, December 7th at the Sayama Golf Club in Iruma, Saitama Prefecture. One hundred twenty golfers may register to compete. The play fee is 19,500 yen and the participation fee is 2,000 yen.
This tournament was originally scheduled to be held on September 7th, but it was postponed to prevent COVID- 19 infections. However, this year's event consists only of the round of golf, so neither a social gathering nor an award ceremony will be held. Please note that dependent upon the developing situation, this tournament might be canceled.

【2】「ソフィアン国家公務員と話そう」後援のお知らせ―10/21
SUAA Supports "Talk with Sophian Government Officials" on October 21st

ソフィア会は今年も上智大学国際関係研究所が主催する「ソフィアン国家公務員と話そう－日本、世界で活躍する 先輩たち－」を後援します。
この企画は2016年以降毎年、藤崎一郎元駐米大使（元上智大学特別招聘教授・国際戦略顧問）および本学出身の 各省庁幹部職員を招き、外交官・国家公務員等を目指す学生たちを支援するために行ってきたものです。ソフィア会 は「ソフィア会の将来ビジョン」における「母校への貢献・現役学生支援の強化・拡充」を目的に、これを後援します。

Again this year, SUAA will support "Talk with Sophian Government Officials: Upper Classmen Active in Japan and Around the Globe", held by the Sophia Institute of International Relations.
Former Japanese Ambassador to the United States Ichiro Fujisaki (former Sophia University Distinguished Professor and Chairman of International Strategies) and Sophians serving at various government ministries have been invited to this event, which has been held annually since 2016 and primarily supports Sophia University students interested in taking the exam to become a diplomat or government official. The goal for SUAA support is to contribute to our alma mater as well as to strengthen and expand support for current Sophia University students as described in the SUAA Vision for the Future.

【3】被顕彰者選考委員会の代議員委員を募集
Recruiting Delegate Members for the Prospective Honoree Selection Committee

ソフィア会は、次期被顕彰者選考委員会設置のため、2021年の春季全国代議員会で代議員から10名の委員を互選 します。被顕彰者選考委員会は代議員互選の10名と常任委員会 委員の5名の計15名で構成して選考作業を行い、 2022年秋にその顕彰式を行う予定です。
自薦・他薦を含めて（1）推薦者または候補者の氏名、（2）推薦者または候補者の卒年、（3）推薦者または候補者の 卒業学部・学科、（4）他薦の場合には推薦人の氏名・卒年・卒業学部・学科、を記載の届け出書をソフィア会事務局 （info@sophiakai.gr.jp）にお送り下さい。様式は自由で、 届け出期限は2021年2月末です。

In order to establish the next Prospective Honoree Selection Committee, SUAA will elect by mutual vote ten committee members from among delegates at the 2021 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA. The 15-member Prospective Honoree Selection Committee, consisting of ten elected delegates and five members from the Standing Committee, will carry out the selection work. The Ceremony is scheduled be held in the autumn of 2022.
Whether you are nominating yourself or another as a Prospective Honoree Selection Committee member written notice should include: 1) the name of the nominee or candidate, 2) the year the nominee or candidate graduated from Sophia, 3) the Faculty and Department from which the nominee or candidate graduated, and 4) when nomin ating another, please also include your name, year of graduation and the Faculty and Department from which you graduated. Please submit completed notification forms to the SUAA Secretariat (info@sophiakai.gr.jp). There is no prescribed format, and the deadline is the last day of February 2021.
