ソフィア会のホームカミングデー「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」。今年の実行委員長は、フリージャーナリストで元AERA編集長の浜田敬子さん（1989法国）に決まりました。浜田さんは「ポストコロナ時代の働き方」をテーマにパネルディスカッションも行う予定です。
そのASFはすでにお伝えしているように5月30日（日）、昨年同様バーチャルで行いますが、昨年度より進化したバーチャルASFを目指し、実行委員を募集しています。社会人卒業生と現役の大学生の実行委員が協力しながら、世代を超えて楽しめる1日にしたいと毎週のようにミーティングを重ねていますが、さまざまな企画実現のためみなさんのお力をお貸しください。
社会人と学生が一緒につくりあげるこの委員会は、個性豊かで、仕事や学業とは少し違った世界といえます。実行委員の経験はきっと有意義なものになると思います。ミーティングはすべてオンラインで行いますが、あくまでボランティアですのでご自分のできる範囲でご参加可能です。
バーチャルなイベントを成功させるために必要なことを考え、実現させていくことに関心がある方の参加をお待ちしています。特に、（１）オンラインでの企画開催支援、（２）映像コンテンツの作成や配信、（３）オンラインでソフィアンが交流できる新たな企画の実施、などにご興味のある方歓迎です。

The Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) All Sophians' Festival (ASF) is Homecoming Day. This year's Executive Committee Chair is freelance journalist and former editor in chief of AERA Keiko Hamada (1989, Faculty of Law, Department of International Legal Studies). Ms Hamada will also hold a panel discussion on the theme of "Working in the Post-Corona Era".
As previously reported, ASF will be held on Sunday, May 30th in a virtual format as was the case last year, and looking to make ASF 2021 even more creative, we are presently looking for Executive Committee members. Alumni and current Sophia University students on the Executive Committee collaborate in weekly meetings to make the day enjoyable for people of all ages and we hope many of you will help us carry out a variety of plans.
The diversity of alumni and students engaging together on this committee create a somewhat unusual atmosphere in comparison with work and school. We think you will find Executive Committee experiences to be meaningful. Meetings will all be held online, and since these roles are carried out on a volunteer basis, you are free to participate however much you are able.
We are seeking individuals eager to think through what it takes to create a successful virtual event and making that happen. In particular, we welcome individuals interested in 1) helping organize online events, 2) producing and distributing video content, and 3) launching new projects that will allow Sophians to interact online.

【2】カリー先生の講演会を開催します―4/22
Father Currie Lecture Held April 22nd

ソフィア会は4月22日（木）18:00から、上智大学名誉教授で元学長であるウイリアム・カリー先生のオンライン講演会を開催します。
ソフィア会が上智大学と共催で行っている「恩師に学ぶシリーズ」の新企画で、学生寮の舎監として23年、聖歌隊の指揮者、学長として学生たちと過ごした上智の思い出を語っていただきます。また、ピアノ弾き語りで歌も披露していただく予定です。
カリー先生は1935年フィラデルフィア生まれ。53年にイエズス会に入会したのち、60年に来日。栄光学園で教鞭をとられたのち、72年に上智大学に。外国語学部比較文化学部長、第12代学長、上智学院理事などを歴任され、2011年には日本の私学教育に貢献したことにより外国人叙勲（瑞峰重光章）されています。

SUAA will hold an online lecture given by former Sophia University president and professor emeritus, Father William Currie at 18:00 on Thursday, April 22nd.
In a new presentation in the SUAA "Learning from a Former Professor" lecture series co-hosted by Sophia University, Fr. Currie will share memories of Sophia University, where he was a student dormitory prefect for 23 years, a choir conductor, and where he served as president. He will also accompany himself on the piano as he sings.
Fr. Currie was born in Philadelphia in 1935. He joined the Jesuits in 1953 and came to Japan in 1960. After teaching at Eiko Gakuen, he came to Sophia University in 1972. Among the roles he has served are Dean of the Faculty of Comparative Culture (prior to its 2006 reorganization into the Faculty of Liberal Arts), 12th President of Sophia University (1999 - 2005), and Sophia School Corporation Trustee. In 2011, he was a foreign recipient of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, awarded for his contribution to private higher education in Japan.
