【1】秋季全国代議員会を9月5日にオンライン開催
The 2020 Autumn Conference of National Representatives of SUAA Held Online on September 5th

ソフィア会は秋季全国代議員会を前倒しで、9月5日（土）に"電磁的"（会則第5章「全国代議員会」第16条「議長と決議方法等」による）、つまり対面を避けたオンラインにより開催します。具体的には郵便またはメールで審議資料や質問の送付・回答を行うと同時に、電子会議システム「Zoom」の併用も検討しています。
新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大によってソフィア会役員の任期延長が続いていますが、これを一刻も早く解消する必要があります。その上で、新体制の元で2021年度予算編成作業を開始し、同時に将来ビジョンの具体的施策実現に向け活動を開始するのが今回の目的です。
この前倒しでの秋季全国代議員会開催は、すでに3月31日の会長文書でお伝えしていますが、年初からのコロナ禍を乗り切り、かつてのようなソフィア会活動に立ち返るためにも今年の秋季全国代議員会は重要です。

On Saturday, September 5th, ahead of schedule, Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) will hold the 2020 Autumn Conference of National Representatives of SUAA 'electronically' (SUAA Regulations, Section 5, Article 16 [Chairman and Methods of Resolution], paragraph 3). In other words, it will be held online to avoid meetingface-to-face. Specifically, agenda documents for the 2020 Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA will be provided and answered through the postal service and email and the simultaneous use of Zoomis also being considered.
Although the COVID-19 outbreak necessitated extending the terms of the current SUAA Board members, we need to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Beyond that, the objectives of this conference are to prepare the budget for the 2021 fiscal year under the new system, as well as to begin implementing activities to realize specific Vision for the Future measures.
That the Autumn Conference of National Representatives of SUAA would be held ahead of schedule was previously announced the March 31st letter from the SUAA president, and the 2020 Autumn Conference of National Representatives of SUAA is important in overcoming the COVID-19 disaster that began at the beginning of the year and in resuming SUAA activities as in the past.

【2】ソフィア会のコロナ禍学生支援金は総額8,000万円超に―7月14日現在
SUAA COVID-19 Disaster Student Support Total Exceeds 80 Million Yen as of July 14th

ソフィア会は「ソフィア会新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大に伴う学生支援募金」を呼び掛けてきましたが、募金の途中経過（速報値＝7月14日現在）によると、Webによる卒業生からの支援金は1,505万2,000円に達しました。
また、その他各種団体からの支援金の521万7,000円、ソフィア会が2回にわけて行った緊急支援金6,000万円（1000万円＋追加5000万円）を合わせると、ソフィア会からの学生支援金は現在までに8,026万9,000円に達しました。みなさまのご協力に心から感謝申し上げます。
ソフィア会は上智学院および上智大学から寄せられた「新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大に伴う家計・生活費急変、並びにオンライン授業環境の各種整備に関わる本学生への支援のお願い」に対し、合計6,000万円の緊急支援金とともに、5月11日には学生支援金募金の呼びかけを開始しました。しかし、依然として新型コロナウイルス感染症は収束の気配を見せていません。引き続き、学生の夢を継続させるためのご支援をお願いします。

According to preliminary figures (as of July 14th), the total online contributions alumni have made has reached 15,052,000 yen.
When combined with the 5,217,000 yen contributed by other organizations and the two-part 60 million yen (our initial 10 million yen plus a supplementary 50 million yen) SUAA emergency donation, the total amount of SUAA funding for student support comes to 80,269,000 yen to date. We are sincerely grateful to all of you for your backing.
In response to the urgent Sophia School Corporation and Sophia University request for alumni cooperation: "We are asking alumni to extend support to students whose families are experiencing sudden economic changes, who are facing difficulty earning living expenses because of the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as for support for services they need in the online class environment", SUAA made emergency donations totaling 60 million yen and kicked off fund-raising on May 11th. However, the COVID-19 outbreak has not yet shown any sign of diminishing.
We ask for your continued assistance in keeping our students' dreams alive.
