【1】次々と新型コロナウイルス感染防止策

新型コロナウイルスの感染が日に日に拡大しており、私たちの日常生活に重大な影響を及ぼしています。これを受け、すでにご存じのように上智大学は3月の学位授与式および４月の入学式を中止、授業開始日も5月25日に再延期しました。
ソフィア会も、特に東京など首都圏の感染がこれからさらに拡大することが予想されることから、四谷キャンパスで5月末に予定していた「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」を行わないこととし、またASF当日に大学主催行事として行われる金・ルビー・銀・銅祝の式典についても、大学側から執り行わないとの連絡がありました。
もうひとつ、ソフィア会の前期の重要行事である春季全国代議員会（5月16日予定）も、学内での開催は不可能であると判断。今回は役員改選時期ですが6月以降の新体制の準備が整わないことから、やむなく現状の役員が次の全国代議員会まで役員任期を延長し担当を継続することとします。また、新年度の事業計画と予算は、予算案の提案のとりまとめが困難であることから、ソフィア会の予算編成方針のみ審議、電磁的投票で採決することしました。
こうした動きに合わせ、ソフィアンズクラブは４月１日より大学の授業開始予定日の前日である5月24日までを休館。6月以降のイベント、講演会、その他のソフィア会活動については、今後の新型コロナ感染症の収束状況をみながら中止、延期、規模縮小などを関係者と協議します。
登録団体も、こうしたソフィア会の方針を参考に活動されることをお願いします。　

The COVID-19 outbreak grows by the day, seriously affecting our lives. As you know, Sophia University cancelled the Graduation Ceremonies in March, the Entrance Ceremonies in April, and the date for classes to start has been rescheduled to Monday, May 25th.
Since the spread of infection is expected to be extensive and long-drawn-out particularly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) will not hold the All Sophians' Festival (ASF) event which was scheduled to be held on the Yotsuya Campus at the end of May, and the University has informed us that the 2020 Gold, Ruby, Silver and Bronze Anniversary Ceremonies, which were to be held on the day of ASF, will also not be held.
It has been determined that it will be impossible to hold another important first semester SUAA event, the Spring Conference of National Representatives of SUAA, scheduled to be held on May 16th, on campus as well.
Although SUAA Board members were to be re-elected in this upcoming session, since preparations for new board members to serve from June cannot be made, the current board members will unavoidably remain in charge for an extended period of time until the next Conference of National Representatives of SUAA.
Furthermore, as for the 2020 Academic Year Business Plan and Budget, since it is difficult to compile budget proposals, it has been decided that only the SUAA budget policy will be subject to deliberation and will be determined by electronic voting.
In line with these developments, the Sophians Club will be closed from April 1st through May 24th, which is the day before university classes are currently scheduled to begin. Depending upon how effective COVID-19 control and prevention efforts are and how the situation evolves, events, lectures and other SUAA activities scheduled for June and beyond may be cancelled, postponed, or reduced in scope. Registered organizations have also been advised to refer to these SUAA policies concerning activities.
