【1】5月31日はホームカミングデー
May 31st is Homecoming Day

5月の最終日曜日は、ソフィア会最大のイベント「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」が開催される日です。今年は5月31 日。毎年、1万人以上の卒業生が四谷キャンパスにあふれ、各教室やメインストリート、グランドなどでさまざまなイベ ントが繰り広げられます。　
そしてASF当日は、大学主催行事として金祝、ルビー祝、銀祝、銅祝の各祝典も行われ、午後にはそれぞれパーテ ィも企画されています。年に1度のお祭りです。ぜひ、5月31日は母校へお帰りください。

The last Sunday of May is when the All Sophians' Festival (ASF), the largest Sophia University Alumni Association (SUAA) event is held. This year ASF will be held on May 31st. Every year over 10,000 graduates reunite on the Yotsuya campus where various events are held in classrooms, on Main Street, and at the athletic grounds.
On the day of ASF, the University-sponsored Gold, Ruby, Silver and Bronze Anniversary Ceremonies are held, and parties are also planned for that afternoon. This is an annual festival. Please come back and visit your alma mater on Sunday, May 31st.

【2】SBCが賀詞交歓会を開催－1/24
SBC Held a Happy New Year Party－1/24

ソフィア会とソフィア経済人倶楽部（SBC）は1月24日（金）18:30から、港区赤坂のアークヒルズクラブで賀詞交歓会を 開催しました。
この賀詞交歓会には国内外の経済界で活躍する約80名のソフィアンが参加。また大学側から佐久間勤上智学院理 事長、曄道佳明上智大学長なども来賓として出席され、旧交を温めるとともに新たな1年に向けてさらなる飛躍を誓っ ていました。

SUAA and the Sophia Business Club (SBC) held a New Year's party at 18:30 on Friday, January 24th at the Ark Hills Club in Akasaka, Minato-ku.
Participants included 80Sophians who are active in business circles in Japan and around the world. In addition, Sophia School Corporation Chancellor Tsutomu Sakuma and Sophia University President Yoshiaki Terumichi were among the University representatives attending as guests, renewing old friendships and pledging to play an active role throughout the upcoming year.

【3】「銀行員から歯科医に」をテーマに特別講演会―3/13
Special Lecture on the theme of "From Banker to Dentist" held March 13th

ソフィア会は上智大学と共催で、3月13日(金)18:30から四谷キャンパス2号館1702会議室で、ソフィアン・永坂哲さん による特別講演会「銀行員から歯科医に　難民申請者の歯を治療」を行います。
永坂さんは母校フランス語学科卒業後住友銀行（現・三井住友銀行）に入行、ニューヨーク駐在など国際舞台で活 躍していましたが、30代で歯科医を目指して鶴見大学歯学部に入学。大学院博士課程修了後、鶴見大学国際交流 センター主任、同センター長などを歴任後、現在は同大学の特任教授・センター長として、難民申請者の無償歯科治 療支援を行っています。
当日は、こうした多彩な経験を踏まえて、現在の活動にかける思いを語っていただきます。

SUAA and co-host Sophia University will hold a special lecture entitled "From Banker to Dentist ? Treating Refuge Applicants' Teeth" presented by Sophian Satoshi Nagasaka at 18:30 on Friday, March 13th in Conference Room 1702 in Building 2 on the Yotsuya Campus.
After graduating from Sophia's French department, he joined the staff at Sumitomo Bank (currently Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) and his international activities included being stationed in New York. However, when in his thirties, he went to Tsurumi University School of Dental Medicine to pursue a dental degree. After earning his doctoral degree he served as a senior staff member at the Tsurumi University Center for International Exchange before being appointed the director of the Center. Currently as a specially appointed professor at Tsurumi University and director of the Center, Dr. Nagasaka provides pro bono dental treatment support for refugee applicants.
On the day of the lecture, based on these diverse experiences, he will share his thoughts on his current activities.
