【1】ソフィアンズクラブで卒業生を歓迎
New Graduates Welcomed in the Sophians Club

上智大学は3月25日（月）、東京・有楽町の東京国際フォーラムで学部卒業生の学位授与式を行いました。翌26日 （火）には四谷キャンパス6号館で大学院などの学位授与式も行い、これによって約3,200人の新たなソフィア会員が 誕生しました。
学部学位授与式が行われた25日の午後には、ソフィア会は6号館のソフィアンズクラブをWelcome Dayとして開放。
卒業生とその父母など約200名の新会員が来場し、懇談しました。ソフィア会に新たな若いパワーが加わったことを 実感した1日となりました。

Sophia University held its Spring Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Faculties on Monday, March 25th at the Tokyo International Forum in Yurakucho, Tokyo. The Graduation Ceremony for Graduate Programs was held the following day, Tuesday, March 26th, in Building 6 (Sophia Tower) on the Yotsuya Campus. Approximately 3200 new SUAA members were inducted.
During the afternoon of the 25th following the Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Faculties SUAA held a Welcome Day event in the Sophians Club. Some 200 new alumni members and their family members dropped by to informally talk with one another. SUAA has gained new power with the addition of these young alumni.

【2】レーシングドライバー 山野哲也さんの特別講演会を開催－6/25
Special lecture by Racing Driver Tetsuya Yamano Held June 25th

ソフィア会は上智大学と、6月25日(火) 18:30から四谷キャンパス図書館9階911会議室において、レーシングドライバ ー　山野哲也さんの特別講演会「1/1000秒を削るために」を開催します。
山野さんは上智大学経済学部在学中に全日本ジムカーナ選手権で個人優勝。プロのレーシングドライバーとなって からも自動車競技の全日本選手権で通算100勝を果たすという偉業を達成し、現在も記録を伸ばし続けています。
学生時代の自動車部に始まり、今も「運転がうまくなりたい」と自分を磨く山野さんに、「極め方」や「極めることで見え てくるもの」について伺います。

SUAA and Sophia University will hold a special lecture presented by racing driver Tetsuya Yamano entitled "What Has to be Done to Realize a 1/1000-second Time Cut" on Tuesday, June 25th at 18:30 in Meeting Room 911 on 9th floor of the Library on the Yotsuya Campus.
Mr. Yamano won the individual driver's championship at the All Japan Gymkhana Championship while studying at the Sophia University Faculty of Economics. As a professional racing driver, he has 100 Super GT wins and continues to improve his record.
Mr. Yamano has trained to become a better driver since his student days in the Sophia University Motorsports Club. We will hear about how to gain mastery, and what mastery reveals.

【3】2019ソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会のご案内－9/9
Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament Held September 9th

ソフィア会は9月9日（月）、茨城県坂東市の大利根カントリークラブで「2019ソフィアンズカップゴルフ大会」を行いま す。
今年で24回目を迎える恒例のソフィアンズカップですが、募集人数は先着120名。プレー費は1万8,500円（昼食費込 み）、参加費は 4,000円（パーティー費・賞品代ほか）です。
お早めにお申し込みください。

SUAA will hold the 2019 Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament on Monday, September 9th, at the Otone Country Club in Ibaraki prefecture.
The first 120 golfers to register will compete in the 24th annual Sophians' Cup Golf Tournament to be held this year. The 18,500-yen play fee includes lunch and the 4,000-yen participation fee covers costs for the party, trophies, and so on.
Please register as soon as possible.
