【1】上智大学が学部学位授与式を挙行
　　 Sophia University Holds Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate
　　 Faculties

上智大学は3月26日（月）、2017年度学部学位授与式を東京・有楽町の東京国際
フォーラムC会場で開催しました。
式はカトリックセンター長ホアン・アイダル神父の祝福のあと、曄道佳明上智大
学長の式辞があり、続いて各学部学科の代表に学位記の授与。
その後、上智学院の高祖敏明理事長、ソフィア会の戸川宏一会長の祝辞、卒業生
代表による謝辞があり、全員で校歌を斉唱して閉式となりました。午後は四谷
キャンパスで学科別集会が行われ、ここで卒業生それぞれに学位記が手渡され
ました。
この学部学位授与式、続く大学院学位授与式などにより、ソフィア会は新たに
3,000人を超える新会員を迎えました。

The Sophia University 2017-18 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony for
Undergraduate Faculties was held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Tokyo
International Forum in Yurakucho, Tokyo.
After a blessing given by Catholic Center Head Father Juan Carlos Haidar
and a ceremonial address by Sophia University President Yoshiaki
Terumichi, graduate representatives from each undergraduate department
were presented with diplomas. Congratulatory addresses given by Sophia
School Corporation Chancellor Toshiaki Koso and Sophia University Alumni
Association (SUAA) President Koichi Togawa were followed by an
acknowledgment by a graduate representative. The ceremony closed with
everyone singing the Sophia University school song together. In the
afternoon separate departmental gatherings were held on the Yotsuya
Campus during which graduates received their diplomas.
With this Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate Faculties, and the
subsequent Graduation Ceremony for Graduate Programs and so on, over
3000 new SUAA members were inducted.

上智大学アジア人材養成研究センターは「上智大学石澤良昭アンコール・ワット
西参道完全修復への挑戦！」と題した修復プロジェクトへのクラウドファンディ
ングに取り組んできましたが、このたび目標金額の1,000万円に到達しました。
同プロジェクトは総事業経費として約７億円が見込まれており、引き続き4月
20日の支援受付締切日まで、第2目標を1,500万円に設定、募金活動を継続して
います。

The Sophia Asian Center for Research and Development has been advocating
for crowd funding for a restoration project called the "Sophia
University Yoshiaki Ishizawa Angkor Wat West Approach Challenge!" and
the original 10-million-yen target has been reached.
As the total expenses for this project are expected to be approximately
700 million yen, fundraising with a second 15-million-yen goal will
continue until the April 20th deadline.

【3】ソフィア会Webサイトをリニューアル。トップページには新着記事の写真を
　　 SUAA Website Updated: New Articles on the Home Page Include Photos

ソフィア会は新年度を迎えた4月から、Webサイト（ホームページ）をリニュー
アルしました。これまで文字だけだった新着情報で写真を掲載、またその時々の
イベントなどを紹介するトップバナーにも動きを持たせ、視覚に訴えるサイト
作りを心掛けました。

With the beginning of the new academic year, SUAA has launched an
updated website (homepage). We have strived to make the website visually
appealing by adding photos to new information which up until now was
limited to text, and with a periodically moving top banner that presents
events and the like.
