【1】ASF2018に向けて準備をお願いします
　　 ASF 2018 Preparation Request

5月27日（日）の「オールソフィアンの集い2018（ASF2018）」に向けて、実行
委員会が組織化され、すでに活動を開始しています。2月には各グループ集会
場所の申し込みも始まります。
ASF2018で集会を予定している団体は、5月の最終日曜日に向けて準備をお願い
します。また、実行委員会は全体の企画・運営に携わっていただける方も募集
していますので、ぜひこちらにも力を貸してください。

The All Sophians' Festival 2018 (ASF 2018) Executive Committee is in
place and preparations are already underway for ASF 2018 which will be
held on Sunday, May 27th. Applications for alumni group meeting places
will also begin in February.
Groups planning social gatherings for ASF 2018 should prepare for the
last Sunday in May. The Executive Committee is also looking for someone
to be involved in the overall planning and management, so please help
out in this role as well.

【2】ソフィア経済人倶楽部が賀詞交歓会を開催－1/17
　　 Sophia Business Club Held Its New Year's Greeting Party on January
　　 17th

去る1月17日（水）の18:30から、ソフィア経済人倶楽部（SBC）が賀詞交歓会を
ソフィアンズクラブで開催。今回初めて学内で開催したこの会には、上智学院の
髙祖敏明理事長をはじめとする学院や大学関係者も含め、100名以上の企業などで
活躍するソフィアンが参加しました。
「今年もよろしくお願いします」とあいさつする姿があちこちで見られ、
2018年のキックオフにふさわしい会となりました。

Sophia Business Club held its New Year's greeting party last Wednesday,
January 17th at 18:30 in the Sophians Club. This event was held on the
Yotsuya Campus for the first time, and attracted the participation of
over 100 Sophians working in business and the like, including Sophia
School Corporation Chancellor Toshiaki Koso Sophia and other Sophia
School Corporation and University officials and staff.
People here and there were seen greeting one another with "I wish you
all the best this year" and it was a suitable event to kick-off 2018.

【3】一般推薦代議員の推薦方法が変わります
　　 The Nomination Method for General Delegate Nominees to Change

ソフィア会役員選考委員会は、一般推薦代議員の推薦について、会員が同一
年度中に推薦できる候補者数を1名とすることとしました。
全国代議員会において「同一会員が、同一年度中に複数回、複数名の代議員の
推薦を行うことは公平性・透明性の観点から望ましくない」という指摘に対応
するものです。
そこで、2017年10月21日から2018年3月31日（推薦書の事務局受付日）の期間に
ついては、候補者1名に限り推薦が可能となります。

Concerning the nomination of general delegate nominees, the SUAA
Director's Selection Committee has set the number of times an
individual may nominate a candidate during the same academic year at one.
This corresponds to the indication from the Conference of National
Representatives of SUAA: "From the viewpoint of transparency, it is
undesirable for one individual to nominate multiple times during the
same academic year or to nominate multiple delegates."
Therefore, for the period from October 21, 2017 to March 31, 2018 (the
period the Secretariat accepts nominations), only one candidate may be
nominated.
