Duesseldorfer Sophia kai celebrated
the New Year Party 2020 on January 18th

The Dusseldorfer Sophia-kai held its annual New Year Party on January 18th at the traditional and popular Japanese restaurant 'Kikaku'.
Our regular members, fresh members & students who have been transferred from Yotsuya to the University of Dusseldorf got together
and enjoyed all-you-can-eat-&-drink dinner meeting with typical Japanese New Year dishes.
Mariko Fuchs san & Hayato Kamijo san became our new Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.
We used a Screen this time to report our activities during 2019 and to show an interview video with Komatsu san who could not join this meeting because he has to care his wife at home.
His interview message was a kind of witness of the history after the 2nd World War in Japan.
He explained how he became the Student of Sophia University in 1956.
His story and episode were mostly 'unbelievable' and humorous for us, beyond imagination !
We all had to laugh and surprise many times!
Our chorus leader Takeda san took a lead to sing Sophia Song (hymns) together to close our enjoyable meeting
as our tradition !
