Washington DC Sophia Chapter:
Happy Hour Social/Farewell Party for Exchange Students
On May 1st, Washington DC Chapter (DC Sophia-kai) hosted a farewell party for exchange students who studied in the capital city and Virginia at a restaurant in the middle of downtown. All the participants were able to enjoy their conversations because of the restaurant's open terrace layout along the street.
It was a pleasure for the exchange students to meet and talk with alumni with whom they had yet to have the chance to make conversation. The students discussed various topics with them and expressed appreciation for their advice. If we only had stayed in Japan, we wouldn't have gotten to know the alumni working near Washington DC and thus this has been a precious experience. I am deeply grateful for this exchange program created by our alma mater.
I would like to say "Thank You" to Ms. Mariko Price for always hosting this DC Sophia-kai and to every alumnus for their constant participation. I wish from the depths of my heart that the Washington DC Chapter will continue on for generations.
