ワシントンDCソフィア会開催報告

3月16日、ワシントンDCソフィア会は 上智大学グロ－バル教育センターの客員教授春原剛氏率いる現役大学生１０名をお迎えし懇談会を開催しました。会場はワシントンDCでヤングプロフェッショナルに人気のMatch Box。
今回の使節団の旅程は一週間。ソフィア会で集まった木曜日までにアメリカ政府機関の国務省、元国務副長官リチャード・アーミテージ氏のコンサルティング会社やシンクタンクのCSISを訪問。この後、日本大使館での研修、ジョージタウン大学のマイケル・グリーン教授の講義を受け、司法省を視察してから、DCの観光名所でもあるスパイ・ミュージアムに立ち寄ってから帰途につきました。
これからこの使節団は毎年春の恒例となるということです。DC在住の卒業生としても励みになります。DCソフィア会は将来の人材育成のためにも尽力していく決意です。

On March 16th, Sophia Alumni Association Washington DC Chapter welcomed Mr. Tsuyomi Sunohara, Visiting Professor at Center For Global Discovery of Sophia University, and his students from various departments from Sophia University, at Match Box, a popular restaurant frequented by young professionals in the Washington DC area.
The delegates' itinerary lasted one week. They proactively visited the U.S. Department of State, Armitage International, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies before we congregated on Thursday. Afterwards these busy beavers visited the Japanese Embassy, Georgetown University, and the U.S. Department of Justice for educational purposes. Finally rounding out the trip by seeing the Spy Museum, DC's entertaining tourist destination concluded their trip.
Sophia's Global Discovery program is intended to continue indefinitely. We, as Sophia alumni in DC, will exert our utmost efforts to assist these burgeoning Sophians to continue their growth well into the future!
