ワシントンDCソフィア会：勉強会・懇談会を開催

5月5日、ワシントンDCソフィア会は 弁護士の森下実郎氏(2002年法学部卒)を囲み、現役・卒業生のための勉強会及び懇談会を開催しました。会場は森下氏お勤めの法律事務所Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP。この日はアメリカでは "Cinco de Mayo" というメキシコの祭日を祝う日でもあり、ビル屋上のカフェテリアでドリンクを片手に休憩をはさんで「米国司法制度の概要と法律事務所の内情」 という二つのテーマでのディスカッションとなりました。
その後はハンバーガー・レストランb D.C. Penn Quarterに移動、 ジョージタウン大大学院を卒業し日本に帰国する加藤諒子さん（国際教養学部2015年卒）と同大学交換留学生の後藤未菜津さんも試験期間の合間をぬって合流し、お別れ会もかねての懇親会となりました。日本テレビの田口舞さん（2003年文史卒）も3年半のDC勤務を終え、帰国されます。
これからも上智大学の卒業生がDCに赴任してくることを心待ちにしています。

On May 5, Mr. Jitsuro Morishita (2002 Law) generously provided a lecture for the Sophia Alumni Association Washington DC Chapter at a law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he works as an attorney at law.
The theme was twofold: 1) The Outline of the Judicial System in the United States of America, and 2) Inside of a Law Firm. The day coincided with Cinco de Mayo, a day celebrated by Mexico, thus we were privileged to enjoy various beverages served at the law firm's cafeteria, located on the top floor, during the intermission.
Following the meeting, Ryoko Kato (2015 Liberal Arts), who will graduate from Georgetown University, Graduate School, and Minatsu Goto, an exchange student to the same school, joined with us to celebrate their departures. We will also miss Mai Taguchi (2003 History), a NTV journalist, who will leave for Japan after 3.5 years of her assignment here in D.C.
We are greatly anticipating our meeting with all incoming Sophians!
