We welcomed President Terumichi to our December Hong Kong Sophia Kai Dinner

This month we were honoured to receive President Terumichi, Vice President Morishita, and Dean Huang of Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies and Ms. Terahira of Sophia University, to join us for dinner with our members from the Hong Kong Sophia Kai, plus a Sophian and his wife who also happened to be visiting us here from Japan.
For the first time since covid, we had a party of twelve, which enabled us to use the large table at the restaurant.
With such VIPs present, yes, I was slightly nervous, but everyone was exceedingly friendly, and we all enjoyed the food and the chatter and noise as one does in Hong Kong restaurants.
Before the night ended, we presented, as a small token of our respect, an eagle, the bird that is a symbol and an emblem of Sophia University.
It was my first time in hosting such an event, let alone have such VIPs come and visit us, but I was grateful and very reassured to know that our university does indeed care about its alumni even after graduation.
We certainly look forward to seeing our VIPs again.
