NY Sophia-kai welcomes U.N. study tour group

The Sophia University Alumni Association, New York Chapter (New York Sophia-kai) on Feb. 13 threw a party to welcome and interact with a galaxy of Sophia and other students who participated in a study tour of the United Nations.

Led by Sophia Prof. Yasuhiro Ueki, the 39 students enjoyed exchanges with about 20 NY Sophia-kai members, including President Shin Umezu, an Asia hand at the United Nations' Department of Political Affairs. Sophia students currently studying in New York also took part in the party held at a Thai restaurant near the U.N. headquarters.

Many New York Sophia-kai members expressed their heartfelt hope that all the students will show their mettle as globally competitive talents in the future.
