【1】今年は飛躍の年－上原会長の年頭挨拶から
　　 This year is a year of great strides - From Sophia University
　　 Alumni Association (SUAA) Chairman's New Year's Greeting

年頭恒例の会長挨拶で、ソフィア会の上原治也会長は「今年はソフィア会に
とって大きな飛躍の年になります。
かねてより建設中だったソフィアタワー（新6号館）の6階に、これまで学内に
分散していたソフィア会事務局とソフィアンズクラブが一体となって4月に
オープン。
会員13万人を超える組織にふさわしい新たな活動拠点、そして会員同士が親睦を
深める場が誕生します」と述べています。
新ソフィアンズクラブは、ソフィア会のさらなる発展の起爆剤となることは
間違いありません。

SUAA Chairman Haruya Uehara said in his annual greeting that "This year
will be a year of great strides for SUAA. The Sophians Club and SUAA
Secretariat which have been separated on campus, will be located
together on the 6th floor of the Sophia Tower (New Building 6) which has
been under construction for some time and will open in April. The new
base for activity will be just what is needed for an organization
with a membership of over 130,000 and a center fostering friendship
among members."
There is no doubt that the new Sophians club will be the stage for
further SUAA development.

【2】新ソフィアンズクラブの予約受付を開始へ
　　 New Sophians Club reservations to be accepted

新ソフィアンズクラブには事務局、サロンなどのほかに3つの会議室が用意
されます。
その予約受付を1/16（月）11：00よりソフィア会Webサイトから開始する予定
です。

The new Sophians Club has three meeting rooms in addition to the
Secretariat and Salon. We plan to start accepting reservations on
Monday, January 16th at 11:00 via the SUAA website.

【3】第23回オールソフィアンズ健康マラソン大会を開催－12/3
　　 The 23nd All Sophians' Health Marathon Held December 3rd

体育会OB会は12月3日（土）、第23回オールソフィアンズ健康マラソン大会を
開催。5kmラン49名、ウォーク15名トータル64名が参加し、全員無事に完走・
完歩することができました。
表彰式の終了後、母校・紀尾井坂ビル会議室で開かれた懇親会には40名ほどが
参加、旧交を温めました。

Athletic Club Alumni hosted the 23rd All Sophians' Health Marathon at
the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Saturday, December 3rd. Forty-nine ran
in the 5-km marathon and 15 walked, for a total of 64, all competitors
finished the course without any problems. Following the awards ceremony,
40 participants got together in a Kioizaka Building meeting room in on
the Yotsuya Campus to renew old friendships.

【4】ブルゴーニュワインの講演会を開催－3/23
　　 Burgundy Wine Lecture Held March 23rd

ソフィア会は上智大学との共催で、3月23日(木)に講演会「ブルゴーニュワインに
とりつかれて－世界を駆けるソフィアンたち」を学内の図書館9階911会議室で
18:00から開催します。
講師はビーズ千砂さん（1990外仏）で、1880年に創設されたフランス・
ブルゴーニュの名門ドメーヌ（ワイン農家）の当主として年間15万本のワインを
生産されています。
講演会ののち、19：30からは2号館5階の教職員食堂でワイン試飲会・懇親会を
行います。

SUAA and Sophia University will co-host a lecture entitled "Hooked on
Burgundy Wine - Sophians Around the Globe" at 18:00 on Thursday, March
23rd in Meeting Room 911 on 9th floor of the Library on the Yotsuya
Campus. Chisa Bize (1990 Faculty of Foreign Studies, French Department),
will present the lecture as the main owner of a prestigious Domaine
(wine farmer) of Burgundy, France founded in 1880 that annually produces
150,000 bottles of wine. Following the lecture, a wine tasting and
social gathering will be held at 19:30 in the Faculty Cafeteria on the
5th floor of Building 2.

【5】2017年の主なソフィア会行事－ASFは5月28日です
　　 Major 2017 SUAA events - ASF is May 28th

今年もソフィア会は、さまざまな行事を予定しています。例年、1万人を超える
ソフィアンが参加する「オールソフィアンの集い（ASF）」は5月28日に開催。
第9回を迎える地域ソフィア会全国大会は9月23日～24日の両日、名古屋市で
行われます。
また、12月7日から9日にかけ、第3回アジアソフィア会をカンボジアで開催
します。
その他、セミナー・講演会など、大学と共催したイベントも数多く行う計画
です。

SUAA is planning a variety of events again this year. The annual All
Sophians' Festival (ASF) which attracts over 10,000 Sophians will be
held on May 28th. The 9th Regional SUAA National Conference will be held
in Nagoya on September 23rd and 24th. Also, from December 7th to 9th,
the 3rd Asian SUAA Conference will be held in Cambodia.
In addition, we will plan to co-host many events, such as seminars and
lectures, with the University.
