【1】「広島大会」に230名が参加
　　 230 to Participate in the Hiroshima Conference

地域ソフィア会全国大会「2015広島大会」が10月3日、4日の両日、広島市の
ホテルグランヴィア広島などで開催されます。すでに昨年の新潟大会を上回る
約230人のソフィアンが参加表明しており、これからのソフィア会のありかたを
巡って熱心な議論が行われることが期待されています。

The Regional Sophia University Alumni Association National Conference,
the Hiroshima Conference, will be primary held at the Hotel Granvia
Hiroshima on October 3rd and 4th. Surpassing last year's conference in
Niigata, approximately 230 Sophians have already registered, and
enthusiastic discussions about the future Sophia Alumni Association
roles are anticipated.

　　 Post Announcements in Sophians Now

前号のメールニュースでもお伝えしましたが、ソフィア会の会報「ソフィアンズ
ナウ」は、新たに広告ページを設けることになりました。広告が、卒業生同士の
新しいコミュニケーション手段となると考えてのことです。
「こんな組織を作りました」、「こんな仕事をしています」、「ソフィアンと一
緒にビジネスをしたい」など、8万人を超えるソフィア会員に直接メッセージを
流しませんか。きっと、新たなビジネスチャンスが生まれます。

The previous Mail News edition announced that the Sophia Alumni
Association's publication, Sophians Now, will contain a new publicity
page. It is hoped that this kind of publicity will become a new means of
communication among alumni.
We encourage you to take advantage of direct contact with over 80,000
Sophians through announcements of newly launched organizations, work you
are engaged in, or an eagerness to do business with other Sophians, just
to name a few examples. This will surely create new business
opportunities.

【3】ASC2015の実行委員を募集しています
　　 Seeking Executive Committee Members for ASC 2015

「オールソフィアンのクリスマス2015（ASC2015）」が12月4日（金）に開催され
ます。そこで、2015実行委員会は実行委員を募集中しています。
今年のASCを盛り上げるため、皆さまの力を貸してください。
次回の第2回実行委員会は10月15日（木）午後6時半～8時半、四谷キャンパスの
紀尾井坂ビル5階第5会議室で開催します。ぜひご参加ください。

All Sophians' Christmas 2015（ASC 2015）will be held on Friday, December
4th. The help of those willing to serve on the ASC 2015 Executive
Committee is requested. Hopefully Sophians will offer support to make
this year's ASC a memorable event.
The upcoming 2nd Executive Committee meeting will be held on Thursday,
October 15th from 18:30 to 20:30 in Conference Room 5 on the 5th floor
of the Kioizaka Building on the Yotsuya Campus. Please join us.

【4】ご卒業、そしてご入学おめでとうございます－9/18卒業式、9/21入学式
　　 Congratulations! September 18th Graduation and September 21st
　　 Entrance Ceremonies

上智大学は四谷キャンパス10号館講堂において、9月18日（金）に9月期学位授与
式を、また21日（月）には秋学期の入学式を行いました。
秋学期入学式では、国際教養学部、理工学部（英語コース)、地球環境学研究科、
グローバルスタディーズ研究科、理工学研究科（英語コース）がそれぞれ新入生
を迎えました。

The September Graduation Ceremony was held on Friday, September 18th,
and the Autumn Semester Entrance Ceremony was held on Monday, the 21st
in the Auditorium, Building 10 on the Yotsuya Campus.
During the Autumn Entrance Ceremony new students were welcomed into the
Faculty of Foreign Studies, the Faculty of Science and Technology
(English Program), the Graduate School in Global Environmental Studies,
the Graduate School of Global Studies, and the Graduate School of
Science and Technology (English Program).

【5】「ドイル先生司祭叙階50周年お祝いの会」のお知らせ
　　 Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Professor Doyle's Ordination

上智大学名誉教授でソフィア会副会長でもあるドナル・ドイル先生が、今年、
司祭叙階50周年をお迎えになりました。そこで、先生にお世話になった有志が
お祝いの会を10月17日（土）午後6時半から横浜市のホテルプラムで開催します。

Donal Doyle, Sophia University professor emeritus and vice-president of
the Sophia Alumni Association, celebrates the 50th anniversary of his
ordination this year. Those grateful to Professor Doyle will hold a
congratulatory event on Saturday, October 17th at 18:30 at the Plumm
Hotel in Yokohama.
