Prof. Terumichi, next head of Sophia Univ., visits N.Y.

The Sophia University Alumni Association, New York Chapter (New York Sophia-kai) on Jan. 28 held a dinner party at a Japanese restaurant in Midtown Manhattan to welcome Sophia Prof. Yoshiaki Terumichi, who is scheduled to become the 16th president of our alma mater from April 1.

Twenty participants, including students currently studying in New York, and Prof. Terumichi exchanged views on the future course of Sophia in an unusually heated manner. We wish Prof. Terumichi a success in his stewardship over the next four years and hope that the voices of New York will be reflected in his management of our university in any way.
